From a single steel beem to warehouses to multistory structures we provide a structural steelwork and fabrication detailing service not only to individual clients, Contractors and Engineers, but also to steelwork manufacturers using traditional 2D methods in CAD and also 3D methods using either Tekla Structures or Revit Structures.
We can also provide the added benefits of a fully integrated design service if required.
Our 3D detailing provides assurity to your project through full clash detection and also buildability checks and can also provide our clients with material lists and other data files required.
We provide a specialist RC Detailing Service to both Contractors and Engineers, using traditional 2D methods with the added benefits of CADSRC and 3D methods using either Tekla Structures.
Having a dual Client base of Contractors and Engineers has allowed us to provide consistent detailing that not only satisfies Design Requirements but also delivers accurate and efficient working on site. Our 3D detailing provides assurity to your project through full clash detection, including rebar to rebar and buildability checks that can be delivered in 3D model form and sequencing at no additional cost.
Project Modelling & BIM
Building Information Modelling is changing how building and infrastructure projects are planned, designed, built and managed.
We look to streamline the design process for our clients with the creation of a centralised 3D construction model in either Autodesk Revit or Tekla Structures. This model can be used in a number of ways to suit our clients requirements, it could form the base model to perform a structural analysis of the structure, clash check Architectural, structural and M&E elements of the project or simply a tool to extract detailed drawings, setting out information, quantities or any other information necessary.
Precast Design & Detailing
Our experienced in house design & detailing team use the latest software to take projects from initial concepts through to the production of full working drawings in both 2D using CAD and CADSRC and or 3D using Tekla or Revit.
We offer our clients an exceptional service from our industry knowledge and expertise ranging from Precast design and pre-stressed concrete construction advice, concept design, full design, reinforcement detailing, sequencing, clash detection and outputs which link to production machinery.
Previous projects include rail platforms, terracing elements, culverts, building structures, cross-wall systems, modular systems, and architectural façade engineering.
Our early involvement in the design and detailing process allows us to minimise waste and reduce cost, while ensuring efficiency and quality is maintained throughout the project.
GRC Design & Detailing
Glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC) is a composite material comprising a mixture of hydraulic cement, silica sand, slkali glass fibres and water. The glass fibres effectively reinforce the mortar mix thereby improving its tensile and flexural characteristics. GRC can be attractive and durable material, it can be moulded into a wide variety of complex shapes and profiles and is ideally suited to the popular fast track approach of using lightweight, prefabricated cladding panels for the exterior of modern buildings. LDG can provide a full GRC design and detailing service including GA’s, fixing details, GRC manufacture drawings and calculations
General Arrangement Drawings
We facilitate a wide range of clients in a number of disciplines, ranging from individual clients, architects, consulting engineers, property developers to specialist manufacturers, if you require traditional general arrangements, shop drawings, site instructions we can use our expertise to keep costs low while not compromising on quality.
Projects can range from planning & building regulation applications, structural layouts and details, shop refurbishments through to bespoke products where a simple detailed drawing is required.
Façade engineering is the art and science of resolving aesthetic, environmental and structural issues to achieve the effective enclosure of buildings. LDG are dedicated to this niche sector of the building industry and engineers operate within technical divisions of façade manufacturing companies.
Flood Risk Assessments
A flood risk assesment (FRA) is a method of anallysing a variety of data and factors to asses the likelyhood of future flooding and to provide information about the sorts of measures that will help to minimise the effects should flooding occur.
Civils and Drainage
We specialise in all aspects of civil engineering, coupled with our knowledge of the technical & planning procedures means we can offer the best possible advice and support to ensure your project is designed, approved and constructed in the most cost effective way.
We are able to offer services relating to water management, including sustainable drainage schemes, foul & surface water sustanable urban drainage systems (SUDS) design using latest WINDES software, Soil infiltration testing to determine soakaway potential, technical assistance to understand surface water flooding, flood plaines, mapping & flowrates.
