The new proposed extension and refurbishment will provide the Business School with an additional 140-150 academic and professional services office space, as well as a number of high-quality meeting rooms and social spaces for staff, the majority of which are proposed as single person academic offices.

T3 were appointed to carry out the design and detailing of the multi-storey new teaching block comprising of traditionally reinforced slabs, beams, columns and walls together with very large spanning prestressed slabs. Hidden connectors and bare concrete finishes to all internal walls and columns were the choice of the Architect and presented their own difficulties. By using BIM modelling software Tekla, T3 were able to visualise all elements, connections, clash free reinforcement with embedded items such as lifters and ultimately provide our client with a complete fully integrated BIM model.
